The bats were loud Tuesday afternoon, and the Sussex Tech varsity baseball team made sure the message was heard. Playing on the road, the Ravens erupted for 18 runs on 14 hits, overwhelming North Caroline in an 18–5 victory that showcased depth, power, and relentless pressure from the first inning on.
Fast Start Fuels Ravens
Sussex Tech wasted little time taking control, plating runs in each of the first three innings while forcing North Caroline’s pitching staff into extended defensive innings. The Ravens’ lineup showed patience and power, drawing nine walks and capitalizing on Bulldog miscues to build a commanding early advantage that never faded.
Ravens’ Lineup Fires on All Cylinders
Braydon Hazzard anchored the offensive charge with a monster day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs. Tod Armstrong matched that impact, driving in six runs on a 3-for-4 afternoon that included a double and constant pressure on the bases. Logan Micinowski added his own exclamation point with a home run and three RBIs, while Sussex Tech consistently turned baserunners into runs.

It wasn’t just the long ball. Sussex Tech ran aggressively, swiping nine total bases and forcing North Caroline into rushed decisions in the field. Braxton Hazzard and Parker Wells each stole three bases as the Ravens manufactured runs and turned small advantages into big innings.

On the mound, Alex Condos earned the win, working 3.1 innings while striking out four and battling through traffic. Bryce O’Day followed with 1.2 scoreless innings, and Lucas Hall closed things out to keep the Bulldogs from mounting any late momentum. Despite issuing walks, Sussex Tech’s pitching staff limited damage and protected the offensive outburst.

The sophomore went 3-for-3 with a home run, five RBIs, and a sacrifice fly, consistently delivering in run‑producing situations and setting the tone for one of the Ravens’ most complete offensive efforts of the season.
