Ridgely, MD – April 8, 2026
North Caroline wasted little time setting the tone, using patient at-bats and aggressive base running to build an early lead and never look back in a 17–6 win over Cambridge-South Dorchester. The Bulldogs took advantage of free passes and timely hits to control the game from the opening inning, turning six hits into 17 runs in a decisive conference showing.
Fast Start – Early Control
The Bulldogs jumped ahead quickly, scoring in multiple innings while forcing Cambridge-South Dorchester into tough defensive situations. Eleven walks issued by Vikings pitching proved costly, as North Caroline consistently turned baserunners into runs. Lewis Higgs and Eric Deck helped ignite the offense early, combining patience with opportunistic hitting to put pressure on the Vikings’ defense from the start.
Offensive Contributors
Eric Deck delivered one of the biggest swings of the day, finishing with two hits and driving in four runs, including a triple that stretched the lead. Adam Deck chipped in with a double and an RBI, while Hunter Duty added an RBI of his own. North Caroline also made its presence felt on the bases, stealing multiple bags to manufacture runs and keep the Vikings off balance throughout the game.
VIKINGS SHOW FLASHES
Despite the final score, Cambridge-South Dorchester had some bright offensive moments. Collin Bair led the Vikings with two hits and three RBIs, including an extra-base hit, while Nate Twilley and Josiah Farrare each drove in a run. The Vikings also showed speed, swiping several bases, but were unable to overcome the early deficit.
On The Mound
North Caroline’s pitching staff did enough to protect the lead, with Oliver Frankowski throwing four innings and striking out six. Owen Caraballo closed things out with a clean inning, fanning three. Cambridge-South Dorchester used multiple arms, but struggled to slow the Bulldogs’ momentum as walks and hit batters kept innings alive.
Player of the Game
Eric Deck’s (North Caroline) all-around performance stood out, as he went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and added a triple that broke the game open. His ability to deliver in key moments set the tone for the Bulldogs’ offense and helped put the contest out of reach early.

North Caroline 17, Cambridge 6
North Caroline’s patience at the plate and aggressive base running proved too much to overcome, as the Bulldogs walked away with an emphatic conference win
