JMB Clippers Roll Past Arcadia With Complete Team Effort

Oak Hall, VA – March 20, 2026

The JMB Clippers Varsity put together one of their most complete performances of the spring, overpowering Arcadia 10–0 in a five‑inning mercy‑rule win as strong pitching and relentless pressure on the bases defined the night. From the opening frame, the Clippers controlled both tempo and execution, turning patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning into crooked numbers early.

Early Control Sets the Tone
JMB jumped ahead immediately, using traffic on the bases and timely contact to seize control. Walks and hit batters opened the door, and the Clippers capitalized with disciplined at‑bats that forced Arcadia’s defense into extended innings. By the middle frames, JMB had already built a commanding lead while forcing Arcadia to cycle through arms.

Relentless Pressure on the Bases
The Clippers turned speed into a weapon, stealing multiple bases throughout the game and consistently creating scoring threats. Carson Bennett led the charge with three stolen bases, while Liam Nelson, Logan Chatham, and Mitchel Layne each swiped two. That pressure resulted in seven total RBIs despite just seven hits, a testament to JMB’s ability to manufacture runs.

Balanced Bats Fuel the Lineup
JMB received contributions from throughout the order. Layne delivered a key two‑RBI hit, Luca Valenzano drove in a run, and Tyler Hunt chipped in two RBIs without registering an official at‑bat. Bennett crossed the plate three times, while Chatham scored twice, underscoring the lineup’s depth and unselfish approach.

Pitching Staff Slams the Door
On the mound, the Clippers were nearly untouchable. Cooper Witt earned the win with two scoreless innings and four strikeouts. Owen Hare followed with two dominant frames, striking out three without allowing a baserunner, and Trevor Boston closed it out with a clean inning. The trio combined to allow just two hits while striking out eight.

Player of the Game
Carson Bennett (Bennett) delivered impact in every phase, finishing with three runs scored, a hit, and three stolen bases while anchoring the middle infield. His speed consistently disrupted Arcadia’s rhythm and turned routine opportunities into scoring chances.

Final
James M Bennet 10, Arcadia 0
With the 10–0 victory, JMB continues to establish itself as a disciplined, well‑rounded group capable of winning in multiple ways.
