Mardela Cruises Past Crisfield in 15–0 Shutout in Crabtown

Crisfield, Md. — March 26, 2026

The Mardela Warriors turned in a complete team performance Wednesday afternoon, rolling past the Crisfield Crabbers 15–0 in a varsity baseball matchup at Crisfield High School. Mardela wasted no time getting on the board, scoring two runs in the opening inning before blowing the game open with a six‑run second. The Warriors continued to add insurance runs throughout the afternoon, scoring three more in the third and four in the fifth to end the contest after five innings. The Warriors finished with 15 runs on 10 hits, while holding Crisfield scoreless and limiting the Crabbers to just two hits.

Player of the Game: Hendon Hitch (Mardela)
Hitch earned Player of the Game honors after setting the tone at the top of the Warriors’ lineup. The center fielder went 2-for-4, scored three runs, doubled, was hit by a pitch, and stole two bases, consistently putting pressure on Crisfield’s defense.

Balanced Attack Powers Warriors
Mardela’s offense was spread throughout the order. Bryce Harr drove in two runs and scored twice, while Nathan Feather collected two hits, scored twice, and added an RBI. Jack Baumann crossed the plate twice, drove in a run, stole two bases, and was hit by a pitch twice. RBI production also came from Easton Banks, Will Premo, Gavin Pietras, and Wyatt Webster, with Banks adding a double and reaching base in every plate appearance. The Warriors were aggressive on the basepaths, finishing with eight stolen bases on the day.

Pitching Silences Crisfield
Three Mardela pitchers combined to shut out the Crabbers. Premo picked up the win, working two innings and allowing one hit while striking out two. Banks followed with two hitless innings, striking out five, and Harr closed out the game with a scoreless fifth inning. As a staff, the Warriors allowed two hits, issued four walks, and recorded nine strikeouts.

Crabbers Limited at the Plate
Crisfield’s lone hits came from John Wayne Dize Jr. and Cooper Thomas, each recording a single. The Crabbers struck out nine times and were unable to capitalize on limited scoring opportunities. Defensive struggles also proved costly, as Crisfield committed four errors, extending innings and allowing additional runs to score. Carter Marsh took the loss on the mound, with Crisfield using three pitchers over the five innings.
