Salisbury, MD – March 30, 2026
The James M Bennett Clippers struck early and often Monday afternoon, building a commanding lead before surviving a late push from Parkside to claim a 10–6 victory over the Rams. Bennett plated runs in each of the first three innings and rode strong pitching to snap Parkside’s momentum before it could fully turn in the final frame.
Early Pressure Sets the Tone
Bennett wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, putting up five runs in the opening inning to seize control. Blake Bunting and Kaden Jacoby-Sample both sparked the lineup near the top, applying pressure with aggressive base running and timely swings. The Clippers followed with two more in the second and three in the third, turning early traffic into runs and forcing Parkside into a bullpen day much earlier than planned.
Rams Battle Back at the Plate
Despite the early deficit, Parkside continued to compete offensively. Thomas Gormley and AJ Agoglia each finished with two hits, setting the table for the Rams throughout the afternoon. Camden Lemon added a double, while Aiden Headley drove in a run as Parkside tried to chip away whenever opportunities surfaced.
Clippers’ Lineup Delivers Depth
The Clippers’ offense showed balance from top to bottom. Bunting crossed the plate three times and added a triple, while Carson Bennett delivered three RBIs from the middle of the order. Kaden Jacoby-Sample and Liam Nelson each drove in a run and created consistent pressure on the bases, helping Bennett maintain its cushion heading into the late innings.
Pitching Keeps JMB in Control
Cooper Witt anchored the Clippers on the mound, going five innings while allowing just two unearned runs. Witt struck out 10 and limited Parkside to four hits, keeping the Rams off balance and preventing any sustained rally. After Parkside made things interesting with four runs in the seventh, Bennett’s bullpen closed the door to seal the outcome.
Player of the Game
Cooper Witt (JMB Clippers) delivered a dominant performance, striking out 10 over five innings and setting the tone from the first pitch. His ability to limit damage early proved to be the difference as Parkside attempted to rally late.
Final
James M Bennett 10, Parkside 6
Clippers look to carry this momentum after a complete effort on both sides of the ball.
