Crisfield struggled to get going but a strong performance on the mound kept Washington in reach. The Crabber seniors combined forces to secure a 5–3 victory over Washington on Thursday afternoon, defending home turf and closing out a competitive matchup played under clear spring skies.
Early Momentum
Washington struck first and built momentum early, plating two runs in the opening inning. Bailey finished with three hits on the day, consistently finding gaps and keeping Washington within striking distance.
Power at the Plate
Crisfield added breathing room in the fifth when Aiden Cornelius launched a solo home run, extending the lead. Peyton Mills later drove in two runs despite going hitless, capitalizing on productive outs to maintain the advantage.
Closing the Door
On the mound, Thomas set the tone across 5.2 innings, allowing two runs while striking out eight. Peyton Mills worked the final frames, scattering hits but limiting damage to preserve the win.
Player of the Game
Cooper Thomas (Crisfield) earned Player of the Game honors after going 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate while picking up the win, striking out eight and controlling the tempo for most of the afternoon.
